-->ramadhan performances - week 3

Hey, did you guys come down for the week 3 Ramadhan Programme? Here's what we had. :D

Syaharan - The Meaning of Faith.

Drama - "Ape Yang Kita Tak Nampak" by SHH Productions followed the Syarahan. Tickets were at sale at $8 each and they sure did have alot of supporters!

Hearing the audience's laughter, I'm sure they thought the drama to be fantastic!

Here's our GM with the GOH and VIPs for the TAA Majlis Iftar.

Our GOH, M.P. Zainul Abidin Rasheed and the treasurer of TAA, Mr. Yahya Zakaria.

Here, our GOH is giving green packets to children from the Darun Maawa Children's Home. It was a meaningful night for these children and for all of us involved in this charity event.

There was also the performance by Nayaga Cimande.

Even the children enjoyed the traditional music they were playing!

There was the whipping performance, without the HUGE whip this time round! :)

We also invited tourists to try playing the traditional Gamelan.

With lots of help from the Nayaga Cimande performers.

They also got some chapteh for souvenirs! :)

And that marked the end of our Ramadhan Programme for the third week.

WE WARMLY INVITE ALL OF YOU TO JOIN US FOR THE PERFORMANCES FOR THE FINAL WEEK OF RAMADHAN! :D

see you then!

-->our recent school tours - yuquan pre-school and BNSS

Before we look into the Ramadhan Performances for the weekend that has just flew by, let's take a look at some of the school tours we had last week!

The teachers of Bedok North Secondary School paid a visit to Malay Village last Thursday!

Here's our guide explaining the use of some antiques we have in the Kampong Museum.

Here are the teachers looking at the traditional games, probably reliving childhood memories. :)

Bola Raga!

Gasing!

How about Ketupats?!

The teachers were really keen on helping each other master the art of wrapping a Ketupat but it's really not an easy feat!

We also had Yuquan Preschool here for a school tour on Friday morning.

GONG!!

The teacher patiently explaining to the children what this seemingly ancient stone equipment is used for.

The children seem fascinated by the Bride and Groom in our Wedding Chamber!

"Can I have these ketupats?"

Let's all play the Congkak!

And the smiles... :D

Ahh. We love these school tours where we can explain the Kampong Days to children and adults alike. :)
