-->ACS's visit

Some students and teachers from ACS visited us on Friday and we had performances and games lined up for them!

Here are some photos from the visit. ;)

Preparation for the traditional games.

A brief history of Geylang Serai and Malay Village.

Alright! Let's go to the cinema back in the 50s!

And our ever patient fisherman.

Magazines, anyone?

We had a programme of dance lined up for them!

Learning how to eat with the hand.

Learning to put on the traditional malay costumes and having a competition on the fastest dresser!

AIYO! Wrong la! Not supposed to cover the eyes! But he got it right eventually. :)

And the SILAT mini-competition!

Bring it on, man!

MASS TRADITIONAL DANCE! They were pretty confused with the steps of the dance initially but after 2 rounds or so, they all got it right.

After some explanation of how the Gasing is played, they felt how heavy the traditional metal gasing is and how hard it is to play it.

After other games, KETUPAT101.

Tours with performances and games are always ultimate fun! :) Our dancers always manage to get the mood so sky high!

Stay tuned for more tours and events! :)

And feel free to contact us if you're considering a tour for your school or organisation as well. ;)

-->upcoming events!

we've added a few events to our list and here's two of them! :)

The second hand mart will be a regular weekend event for people to buy and sell their items that are still in good condition! Some things are just left lying at home so why not bring them down and make some spare cash?! :D

The event is held every weekend at the Hall of Fame (outside Penghulu Room) in Malay Village. Do drop us a ring if you would like to participate in this buying and selling of second hand goods!

Also, we'll be celebrating Prophet Muhammad's birthday on 8 March 2009!

Do join us in this meaningful celebration (FOC!) at the Singgahsana Hall!
On the same day, we'll also be open for registration for Blood Donors for our upcoming Blood Donation event on 15 March 2009 (one week after the celebration) and we would like to appeal to you to share the gift of life generously. :)

The village will be buzzing with events every weekend so DO JOIN US!

-->learning ladder's visit!

the little students from learning ladder paid us a visit yesterday and had lots of fun! :)

The fisherman from kampong days was waiting eagerly for their arrival!

Hand in hand, moving on to the museum. :)

And that's the gong, sounding the arrival of our little GOHs!

Here's the beduk sounding prayer time!

Alright! Let's us take a rest and some photos on this antique bench.

"What's this? What happened to computers and printers?"

"Eh... Excuse me, do you know how to use this phone? It's weird!"

The little ones sure had fun with all the traditional games! ACS will be visiting us today and we have arranged dances and performances for them!

So stay tuned for more photos of the events ahead! :)
